Woodfield Whirlers Open The Show
On Tuesday 7th March 2017 the Woodfield Whirlers once again took part in the dance festival at The Harlequin Theatre in Redhill. Mainstream schools covering all ages, take part and as there are so many participants it has to be done over 3 nights.
This year they opened the show and did incredibly well. We were immensely proud and it is incredible how they overcome their nerves to go out on the stage and perform in front of a packed theatre.
We are delighted to say that the café project at the YMCA has been a great success and will continue until the beginning of July 2017.
Every student has been involved and participated in a range of activities. Three distinct job roles have been identified and students work in small groups of 3, taking it in turns to undertake each role. The experiences they are enjoying are practical, realistic and align themselves to real work situations.
We are optimistic that this may remain an important feature within our timetable in September 2017.
