World Book Day
Our rescheduled World Book Day was a fantastic success this year. I was really impressed with the effort that so many staff and pupils put into their costumes. We had everything from dinosaurs to astronauts roaming around the corridors and there was a great atmosphere about the school throughout the day. The pupils visited by a mystery reader in the afternoon. We finished the day with a costume parade in the school hall which was bathed in glorious sunshine at the time. Who could have believed that it would be snowing two days later! Thank you to all of those who brought in their pound to donate to International Book Aid. If your child dressed up in mufti or a costume and has not donated their £1 yet, then please send it in as soon as possible so that we can get the money off to a very worthwhile cause. Hopefully your child had a chance to grab a bargain and the money raised will be fed back into the library. It really was a super day and remember keep on reading!
