As stated in our most recent newsletter, all pupils will have the opportunity to go to Chessington during the Summer Term. This is because of a generous donation that was given to the school specifically for this purpose. This year we have not been able to send the whole school on the same day but all Tutor groups will go together and with at least one other Tutor group.

The dates of each Tutor groups trip are:

9th June 7M/8H/Y11 Non-GCSE pupils

16th June 7S/8C/Y11 GCSE pupils

7th July 9D/9C

14th July 10S/10C/7W

Pupils are required to wear their school jumper on the day but can wear trainers and jeans. Please provide a packed lunch unless they are in receipt of Free School Meals. Any money brought on the trip will be at the pupils’ own risk. It is requested that mobile phones and other devices are handed into the teacher at the start of the school day as usual. Pupils will return home on their usual transport.

See Chessington’s risk assessment for schools below.

Woodfield School has contacted Chessington with regards to pupil safety in light of the recent terror attacks. Chessington said “They are taking extra measures, ie extra security, extra cameras, bag checks and extra officers. Nobody can enter without being checked”.
